Hybrid Model for Zeta Converter in Matlab

Hybrid Model for Zeta Converter in Matlab

Abstract:

In this paper, we propose a hybrid control strategy for the voltage regulation of the DC-DC Zeta converter operating in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). The essence of the hybrid control strategy is the existence of the switching functions which enforce the switching conditions for the transition of the modes and induces closed-loop stability of the converter. Instrumental in our work is the introduction of a mathematical model that limits the steady-state switching frequency. The model is expressed in term of the steady-state switching frequency, therefore the converter can be designed to operate at the prescribed switching frequency, consequently ensuring the DCM operation. To support our proposed control method, the simulation results are presented.
